Same drill as last time: I tried hacking up example code to match your description, and can't reproduce the behavior you're seeing, so there's probably some other important factor going on. Last time it was dup(), this time it's probably something else. Can you post (here if it's short, elsewhere if it's long) a short test program to demonstrate this behavior?
