thanks for writing lftp, I find it a very useful program.
I noticed one flaw: lftp keeps trying to reconnect when it encounters an
empty directory, perhaps because it thinks the connection is lost when
no results are returned when recursing into this empty directory.
After some thought and reading the FAQ, I found that setting
"ftp:list-options -a" solves that problem, presumably because when this
variable is set, the response is no longer empty, but will always list
'.' and '..'.
