Hello, Alexander. I have a feature request for lftp: file names charset convertion. Nowadays files with russian names stored on ftp are usually in cp1251 charset, while common russian linux charset is koi8-r of even utf-8. It will be nice if these file names can be read on linux.
I suggest using the same approach as Samba team: samba distinguishes display charset, local filesystem charset (usually the same as display charset) and remote filesystem charset. Best regards, Alexei.
