i hope i understood right what you want to do.
try either
lftp -u central, central 192.168.1.45 -c "cd CENTRAL; ls; get aFile; exit"
important: all commands, that lftp should execute between "" and seperated
by ;
or use lftpget (makes more sense in this case).
