after a thorough search online I have not managed to find any other
instance of this problem, but when I run the testsuite for
Binutils-2.23.1 I recieve a single unexpected failure on gas/i386/rept
due to a timeout, here is the relevant log entry:

I am building on older hardware (intel celeron 1.2 ghz with 512mb ram
using a 2gb swap)
is this a cause for concern or is there an urgent need to remedy my build?
