The 70-persistent-net.rules file i sset up in Chapter 6 in the udev 
section.  It runs udev-lfs-200-1/init-net-rules.sh (svn version, but it 
hasn't changed since 7.3).

First of all, what devices does the script think you have?

ls /sys/class/net/

If you have etho, what is the result of

cat /sys/class/net/eth0/address
