A quick chirp in on a discussion that now points to a broken GCC build:
When rebooting into LFS my path wasn't consistent with how it was set up in the chroot environment. The result was exactly the same error message that was originally reported in this thread. This is probably too simple of a solution to be correct; but if you haven't yet started the rebuild (and if you haven't already looked at your path), take a moment to be sure. Nick.
