Looking a little, I could see, that the phonon libraries are all in $QT4DIR, and therefore they are not in the kde locations where they should be, according to the kde-forum posting. Well, I cannot imagine, that I have to make links for all of them. I wonder, if the book instruction to install phonon in $QTDIR is so lucky and if it would not be better to install in $KDE4DIR instead ? -- Dr.-Ing.
