In section 2.2, we have the statement "A minimal system requires a partition of around 1.3 gigabytes (GB). This is enough to store all the source tarballs and compile the packages."
I created a 2GB partition, and ran out of space during the make phase of 6.17 GCC The package details in that section show the disk space used as 1.7GB "6.17. GCC-4.6.1 The GCC package contains the GNU compiler collection, which includes the C and C++ compilers. Approximate build time: 47 SBU Required disk space: 1.7 GB" Perhaps the numbers need some tweaking? I'll resize the partition higher and start chapter 6 again, and see if i can rememeber to keep an eye on used sizes. -- -- - Steve Crosby -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
