That book mentions the site http://backupcentral.com/ i had a quick look and the site appears closely related and offers downloads of various "free stuff". It also appears to have some additional/updated information. I do not have a copy of the book nor CD-ROM but using Google i found a pdf copy which mentions the site. You could of course download such a pdf copy and copy and paste the larger script parts from that.
