When I run configure for glibc-2.11.1 I get the following warning: configure: WARNING: cpuid.h: present but cannot be compiled configure: WARNING: cpuid.h: check for missing prerequisite headers? configure: WARNING: cpuid.h: see the Autoconf documentation configure: WARNING: cpuid.h: section "Present But Cannot Be Compiled" configure: WARNING: cpuid.h: proceeding with the preprocessor's result configure: WARNING: cpuid.h: in the future, the compiler will take precedence
I found someone who seemed to have the same problem but he did not post his solution here is the location of the thread: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/pipermail/lfs-support/2010-May/038565.html It is possible that he is explaining the solution but I do not understand what he did. My host system is Ubuntu 9.10 When I ran ./config.guess in step 5.2 my output was: i686-pc-linux-gnu Any help is appreciated.
