Hi , thanks 4 the replies . I used version 6.3 of the book coz the livecds of lfs contained only packages for version 6.3 of the book . since version 6.6 uses newer versions of packages and livecd with all the required packages are not available , i would have to download each package separately . dats y i opted ver 6.3 . If there is a livecd compatible with version 6.6 of the book , pls let me know . I didn't find one in http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/livecd/download.html however . all the images in there were for ver 6.3 of de book .
