Hopefully, the earlier responses have pointed out what was wrong. If you again get this sort of error you do need to do what it says and look in 'config.log'. For a few packages, particularly gcc and binutils, there can be several config.log files in different subdirectories - if that is the case, you need to look at the latest of them.
