I know, lots of that is still very old - lack of editors with time on their hands - and that oldness will itself give problems. I've posted in the past about the versions I was using around last October - apart from security upgrades I haven't upgraded much - and about kde-4.2. Deliberately building an old LFS to follow verbatim what is in a released BLFS isn't a good plan.
