Hello!

When starting my LFS I have the problem, that I have no eth0 or eth1.

Yes, I took a look at the FAQ. :-)

I have started my LFS from Debian Lenny. So I tried to get the necessary
information for the device drivers there.

Here is what lspci from Debian says:

Within my linux kernel configuration I did as follows:

*) Device Drivers --->
    |
    --- Network device support --->
         |
         --- Dummy net driver support <M>
         --- Universal TUN/TAP device driver support <M>
         --- Ethernet (10 or 100Mbit) --->
              |
              --- Generic Media Independent Interface device support {M}
              --- Broadcom 440x/47xx ethernet support <M>
         --- Ethernet (1000 Mbit) --->
              |
              --- Marvell Yukon Chipset /SysKonnectSK-98xx Support
(DEPRECATED) <M>
              --- Broadcom Tigon3 support <M>
              --- Broadcom NetXtremeII support <M>
         --- PPP (point-to-point protocol) support <M>

NOTE: I can't say why, but as I started I thought to have any type of Broadcom
NIC. That is why there are still the Broadcom modules.

As I understand it, my LFS is missing a driver for my (two) NICs. But what is
the name of the right driver?

Or am I simply missing something important?

I hope there is anyone who can help me.

Kind regards,
Leonhard
