Yes, I've done it a gazillion times. > It looks to me like it should be possible up until section 6.4 > 'entering chroot'. Have I got this completely wrong? I chroot remotely with no issues. > I would like to telnet in but telnet doesn't seem to be on the > LiveCD(I'm using 6.3). Is there a way of doing this using the > packages available on the LiveCD? Don't know. Why would one want to use the LiveCD if they are building remotely? I understand that a Linux partition may not be available on the host, so the LiveCD may be the only way in that case. But to simply mount the LiveCD you'd need physical access, why not just build it locally, since you already need physical access. Perhaps I'm not understanding the question properly. -- Randy rmlscsi: [bogomips 1003.25] [GNU ld version 2.16.1] [gcc (GCC) 4.0.3] [GNU C Library stable release version 2.3.6] [Linux 2.6.14.3 i686] 21:01:01 up 2 days, 13:59, 1 user, load average: 0.16, 0.15, 0.11 -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-support FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
