If you want documentation for the livecd, look at the livecd page:

On the front page is a link to the README. If you click the great big
"Documentation" button, there is documentation.
The _entire_ source Makefiles to build a LiveCD are in the LFS SVN repo.
As regard to the OP, LiveCD has nothing to do with package management.
If you want it, add it yourself! Your distro, your rules. There are
hints on the hints page that help ya do it also!
