Hm, I suppose you tried to compile unrar http://www.rarlab.com/rar/unrarsrc-3.5.4.tar.gz using make -f makefile.unix that should do it if not give 7zip a try (o.k. in linux case p7zip) http://sourceforge.net/projects/p7zip/
