nope, there isn't. Only the local loopback.

I recompiled the kernel also, and added support for more nic's. But that doesn't help

i have a "normal" pci card nic (10/100mbit). I think one of the RTL8139 family, but i'm not sure.

so what's second?

PS: if i run "ifconfig -a" when i chroot into my new LFS6.1 then the eth0 is there... maybe usefull
