Sorry for joining into your 'tete-a-tete'. There is nothing lacking in
Jim Gifford'e excellent mail hint which covers all aspects of mail and
uses a set of sensible programs to do it with. I remind you of my
comment which you snipped and seemed to go unnoticed

and frankly wonder what's preventing the lfs team from taking this 
suggestion. Please address that if you reply.
