I don't think that u 'll have to pass any sort of otions durin' kernel compilation.Just try followin' commands from root: cd /usr/src/ cd (in ur linux header) make mrproper make menuconfig make dep && make bzImage && make modules && make modules_install && cp /arch/i386/bzImage /boot/xxx(ur kernel image)
