By the way, I just completed Chapter 5 with no issues. gawk 3.1.8 (the version that caused the issue) is the latest version available in the default sources.list. raring has 4.0.1. Users can either add raring to the sources.list or simply download just the gawk .deb file from http://packages.ubuntu.com/raring/amd64/gawk/download using wget and use dpkg -i . The package's dependencies are satisfied by what is already on 12.04 LTS. I did the latter approach, as I'm trying to keep things as stock as possible. Will be continuing on today, will let you know if I hit any other roadblocks (but I don't anticipate any). -wpl > Kind Regards, > > Matt. > > > -- > http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-dev > FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ > Unsubscribe: See the above information page >
