I prefer to build them so they can be examined before installation. That could be in DESTDIR too, but this way doesn't require that. > Also, there is a problem with udev manual page. It's 382 lines when rendered and I don't see any .so link. The only issue I see is a reference to systemd-udevd.service(8) which is inappropriate for LFS.
