I thought PAM was an option we mentioned on the shadow page, pointing to BLFS -- although now that I go look, it doesn't seem to be there. Huh. Oh well. Are any of the files mentioned (lib*.la, systemd-*) present in the directory after installation is finished? If not, then they shouldn't need to be specifically disable, but if they are present, either the patch might need more work, or they could be disabled individually.
