Those links don't exist in the current SVN trunk version of the book at http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/view/development/chapter03/packages.html. I assume your user is reporting against LFS-7.0? If that's the case, I'm sure you can understand we can't go and change those links now; it's a released version. Your user should be following the advice in the 2nd paragraph of http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/view/stable/chapter03/introduction.html if they're having issues downloading packages mentioned in that version of LFS.
