If you decide you want to add apache after building LFS it's not problem to go to BLFS, run through the instructions, and fire up httpd. No big deal. If you decide you want to try LVM you need to repartition your hard drive and restore from backup or rebuild. Are there other projects in BLFS that require that kind of workflow? Zach
