Last time this came up on linux-hotplug, we got this: http://www.spinics.net/lists/hotplug/msg05181.html http://www.spinics.net/lists/hotplug/msg05183.html a mixture of "don't expect previous versions to show up ever again; get them from some nebulous "distro site" instead" and "future versions will be posted once the kernel.org infrastructure is ready" (and so I must assume it isn't yet). For now, git is the only way to pull any udev version, unless we want to use Kay's space on freedesktop (which only works for -174 and -175, and which will almost assuredly disappear once the kernel.org stuff is back up and running). :-/
