The host requirements for building LFS is (are) LFS. > I have been thinking in the past about working on automation/PM, but > got the impression that no one was interested in any additions of this > type to the book. The design of the book is to go through linearly. Basically there are no choices (well, you *can* decide to use another editor). The idea is to give the user, especially the first time user, a sense of accomplishment and completion. When the user successfully boots LFS for the first time, there is generally quite a sense of accomplishment. Section 6.3 discusses PM. It says why we don't have PM in the book. There are six hints on PM. -- Bruce -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
