-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 The last decision was that we would prepare for BLFS-6.5. I personally have no interest in working towards a BLFS-6.5 release, but others may differ. We could create a branch if there is still interest in continuing along that goal, and now would be a good time that Gnome is completed and deemed stable.
I'd like to start working on current LFS-SVN. I haven't committed anything in so long because of this and it is about time for a new desktop build. Still working on my testing server which is somewhere between 6.6 and current (some package updates to 6.6) so I can commit to cyrus-sasl, postfix, openldap, samba, php, mysql, openssl, httpd, dovecot, etc. I do not see that anything will conflict with current SVN and I'll want to do a rebuild before it goes live anyway. Regarding Wayne's question on -book about Gnome...3.0 is due on September 29th, but it's probably a little bit early to start targeting the 2.31 stack, but feature freeze is on August 2nd, just over a month away. http://live.gnome.org/TwoPointThirtyone/#Schedule By then, I think BLFS will likely be completely freed of gconf, and should already be free of bonobo. An update to 2.30 probably wouldn't hurt and then a decision could be made for 3.0 as to a BLFS release, but I'd hate to see all that work go into 2.30 with 3.0 so close to the LFS release. Also, Wayne, is there any interest in the $GNOME_CONFIG approach to the Gnome distribution? I'm specifically interested in the shared libexec directories for all of Gnome. - -- DJ Lucas -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.14 (GNU/Linux) iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJMJlcfAAoJEIUM+xKzBYsIj2cP/1pvfGN8wkytArGiIIwTaENm aYAy+NpmzPQmIIIgKohE3MEWUtSwiese8jLwcv0JEsv6GCkgZPpDrsFN0RfeIgqJ auK9mfje//vSoeP8xV9qnmIh5/UAXOIZqksuMuNl1KYYW5kDrN/fSDGoZ84/Jfv1 Md0yxvSxRWGyWEc2mkKyEzauvudCOlE87BREv7i9/NZFP5ULvLwB6BHmE0cK6jTM MSFsYha4/Swd4W0Ha7UDGtXYnp1EobvOYsWVaeg3K/J9AP7cu7P9iu0or6yCgbJ9 /f94azDbEJgYdsyaA612VmNgvfd7xNt3Ddq3hoWSEmXSApq203eCg9BllTMa3mQF 7bBQ9WSSLg4rhucGVcxVauA+4Xd4GTy8HV4kwxi/5xM0GOscuZloBiXMAkYAApuV 0m3YHlOxILOZU9bc7BsxdGUfCTeobcYKzLMqYPWdAKuh36bMKzr2rHrfvNVg33wg Ybq1w/2aNPlBjE/D6lNunzKHNb8M+eBzSjJ9GHctIw5c4ie9bnMh/oj322/yzAy0 FFpIHrY+FZSGLpy3mIelGi+uJbCdq8C3xhf0w+7MtCShk5qqCZY06zTgaBGI8HS9 jXoCrhjQEnFdhdrxSUMQ5cP1oATHkDALzcU0dWLJR1LEyzhQYDQ263HHmVnQBNTM xwRsax25pdHNaH+0Oxh1 =34/i -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content, and is believed to be clean. -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
