Apart from looking at other things (my own keymaps for xorg - got my ibook working as well as ever, but severely broke my cyrillic keymap :-( and the last of the slammers this week [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slam_door_trains ] I've been hoping there would be more info provided on #2661, and that I could kill the proverbial 'twa birds wi ane stane'. I was thinking about a vague "in some circumstances, particularly if building in a virtual machine, you might need to pass --build". We'd established that passing --build for e.g. i486 is not enough to build the whole of LFS for i486 on an i685, so I'm reluctant to mention that option in the gmp text, but there seems to be a minority of people who need *something* on x86_64. That other ticket has been silent for a week now, so I guess I'll cut back what I'd suggested to only fix the ABI part. ĸen -- After tragedy, and farce, "OMG poneys!" -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
