Well actually, I'm glad that it's just me.  I did try 2.6.34-rc7, 
2.6.33.4, and 2.6.32.8.  All fail for me with gcc-4.5.0 and 2.6.33.4 
works with gcc-4.4.1.  All testing was using the same configuration.

Curious.  My next step will be to go back and rebuild everything.
