I cannot speak for the entire community, but William you are simply coming off too strong for my tastes. However, on this subject I do think you make a valid point. I see in the various package repo's that LZMA is becoming more and more available. But that doesn't mean we need to add it to LFS right now. I don't believe you understand that it requires work by an Editor to do it, and we simply don't *need* it right now. Everything works as it is, so it is work that we don't have to do right now. It's tough enough to simply get updates into the book, much less add packages that we don't need right now. You've made the ticket. A very highly respected member of this community (and an Editor of both books I might add) has deemed this to be a ticket for the future. Live with it. Your constant whining is annoying. Live with the decisions that have been made. You have a good idea with LZMA and I'm sure in time we will get it in the book. Right now there are just too many other things we need to do first. I hope you understand. -- Randy -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
