Randy, with all due respect, it sounds to me like you are a victim of
a hurtful rumor. Last I checked you don't get a password prompt for
visiting cross-lfs.org or linuxfromscratch.org. These are open source
projects as far as I can tell. You have to be pretty abusive to get
banned from a project like this.

The rest of this is not directed just at Randy. :)

Looks like there is still animosity, and I obviously missed a heated
discussion from the past. I am hopeful that the majority of the users
and developers are like me and weren't there for that obviously
counter-productive argument, so we can ignore other's spite and
continue working on this (x)lfs family of projects, in whatever form
they may take.

I can't see this dying anytime soon. Once one has skills in LFS-style
methodologies, there is no turning back. Why write your own patches
and sed's when you can just check out the latest SVN and get the patch
there, or add one if needed? I see no compelling reason other than
extreme ego-tripping and spite for someone to simply crawl into a cave
and become a information leech, instead of contributing whenever time
allows. What purpose would that serve?

It seems like the voices of the very few are attempting to turn this
into some sort of rival gang type of scenario instead of a
collaborative effort as it was intended. There will always be
disagreements, that's how problems get solved. Where it can go all
wrong is when we forget that we all have the same goal: a
linuxfromscratch community that educates each other. We are a
collective, and we would do good to act that way.

These are my two cents, and they are without alterior motive, I just
want people to see this from my perspective. I respect all of you for
even being here to read this :)

Enjoy, and thank you for listening to my rambling. :)
