Looking at the source and then running `genl -help` I get

$ ./genl -help
Usage: genl [ OPTIONS ] OBJECT | help }
where  OBJECT := { ctrl etc }
       OPTIONS := { -s[tatistics] | -d[etails] | -r[aw] }

But I have no idea what that means.
