Right. I've built them all, and they're working great except for a
couple very minor niggles. I've just got to get the book work done.
I'm setting a deadline of before I go to bed tonight to get at least
one of these done.

HAL was much more straightforward than I feared. There are a lot more
optional dependencies, though.
