Nice that sutch patches exsist, but it would be very good, if they are included in the BLFS book. Searching in 3 different places for a solution is not very userfriendly, and patching will not harm normal x86 build.
Sorry, we can't do that yet. The BLFS book is targetting LFS-6.2, doesn't have gcc-4.1.1.
Iam on x86_64 and with more and more user having sutch a machine, a default hint in the BLFS book for sutch users in the main BLFS book, would be great ...
The hints are on the wiki. If you find out something, please put information there so other people can use them. There are a lot of problems with putting information about x86_64 in the book. First, none of the active BLFS editors have such a machine. Second, it would greatly complicate the BLFS book, which is already huge. Maybe someday, but for right now, the focus is getting a working x86 book for LFS-6.2. -- Dan -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
