While that certainly helps, I'm not sure if that totally solves the issue. Building XFree86 and making sure it works is one thing, building and testing all other packages that use or depend on X is quite another. Tush made a good point just now that no one seems to be actually using XFree86, which, as this thread shows, is fairly necessary to ensure the QoS of BLFS. If someone is willing to maintain an XFree86 installation and see it through on that level, then sure, it'd be great to have the option in the book still. Otherwise, no, in my opinion.
