It is not just about getting a list of installed files. Dependent packages should also compile and run when XFree86 is used. If there number of folks who will be prefer XFree86 over Xorg is minuscule, there is no point in having XFree86 in the book and it is better of as a hint maintained by someone who is *using* XFree86. From what I have read, none of the editors are using XFree86. Personally I would prefer having Xorg 7.1 in the book with individual pacakges and complete dependency information. I am nearing the end of my Xorg installation.
