Hello,
Yesterday and today I added the following pages to Trac:
http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/wiki/GPM
http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/wiki/W3M
http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/wiki/Lynx
http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/wiki/Links
The first three of them contain changes to the compilation instructions,
and the policy requires those changes to be discussed on this list.
Summary:
Lynx: please add --with-screen=ncursesw for LFS but not CLFS or HLFS,
add --enable-locale-charset for all kinds of LFS, set
LOCALE_CHARSET:TRUE in /etc/lynx.cfg. This guarantees proper display of
all characters in all locales without any further configuration. Nearly
a no-op in the en_US locale.
GPM: either apply the signal handling patch, or (better) compile
--without-curses and recompile NCurses after GPM.
W3M: fix for compilation against GPM compiled --without-curses. Harmless
if GPM is compiled with curses (default).
