My comment didn't have a place here.  Sorry about that.  I'll remember
to keep the personal stuff to myself next time.  For the record,
though, I wasn't implying that anyone was poor.

No.  I don't understand that bootstrap process any more than to know
that it builds gcc 3 times.  I can't make any comments on it's
usefulness in Ch. 6 of the LFS book.
