G'day Ryan, good to see you alive and kicking on the list :-) Unfortunately, all you've done is told us why you don't like -B. You haven't addressed the core issue of this thread ie: startfile_prefix_spec. We'd all appreciate it if you could address the concerns that I've raised about this spec. BTW, you've reminded me of yet another flaw in the PLFS build method that's been bugging me for ages. The includes search path! We take steps in the temptools phase to prevent headers from being found on the host ie: so it only searches /tools/include. But when we get into the chroot and after we've installed Glibc, we don't adjust the toolchain so that it searches for headers in the correct location ie: /usr/include. ISTM that -B could solve this problem.
