I don't think that this makes much sense. One of the problems I see in this area is that everybody and his dog is starting his own little ABI headers project. There's about a dozen out there which apparently all have died of lack of manpower. It would be better to try to get all interested parties together. There is - H. Peter Anvins LinuxABI project (dead) at <http://zytor.com/mailman/listinfo/linuxabi>, - Marius Mazurs Linux-Libc-Headers project (slow), - Linux-Libc-Kernel-Headers project (unknown, probably dead) at <http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/libc-headers>, - recently Kyle Moffett offered to do some work in this area on LKML but the response was rather indifferent, so I doubt much will come out of it, - Klibc includes their own copies of sanitized headers, - µClibc includes their own copies of sanitized headers and - many major distributions include their own copies of sanitized headers. That's probably several dozen people either willing or being forced to work on sanitized headers---if only they were working on *one* project ... jwm -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
