Thanks for your condescending attitude, Jim. But it doesn't bother me, perhaps I deserve it. Who knows? What I do know, however, is that I have a fairly good memory and read most of the non-commit messages on clfs and the other lists, and to the best of my recollection you've not explained why the kernel needs patching and you've never come on the list and said, I propose to do this *because* "some explanation that helps folks understand what is going on". Jim, what you have to realize, is that saying "I'm doing it because Kay is doing it that way" is meaningless to anybody who is not intimately involved in the day-to-day goings on with Udev. As far as you saying that I've commented on these issues, it is funny you say that. Of all the links you provided to threads, the only comments I've made is that you are too secretive and won't share knowledge with the community. -- Randy rmlscsi: [GNU ld version 2.15.94.0.2 20041220] [gcc (GCC) 3.4.3] [GNU C Library stable release version 2.3.4] [Linux 2.6.10 i686] 11:15:00 up 102 days, 20:39, 3 users, load average: 1.43, 1.07, 0.67 -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
