I think it was better in the old days when real men carried a lethal
weapon (Sword in my country, Six-Shooter in your'n) to protect their
honour.  A proper duel clears the air wonderfully, keeps undertakers
in work, and generally helps with the living-space problem.

Politeness was a matter of survival, and it got learned early or
you didn't survive.

Randy, you can be a right didactic pompous arse at times.

No offence, of course.  And the worst of is that you are usually right.
