Hey Guys:

Wanted to throw this out for consderation.

The grub site, http://www.gnu.org/software/grub/ says the following:

"Currently under development, GRUB 2, has replaced what was formerly known as GRUB (i.e. version 0.9x), which has, in turn, become GRUB Legacy."

And:

"GRUB Legacy is no longer being developed. For the differences between GRUB Legacy and GRUB 2, please visit their respective pages."

At what point do we decide that we're ready to switch over? GRUB 2 still has some missing features (at least missing in regard to what it has said it will include). But from my first test with it here on my x86 box it appears to be functioning just as well as grub legacy did.

Has anyone else looked into this, and/or what are your opinions as to when would be a good time to start playing with it more? (As an aside, due to the fact that it's supposed to also support new-world macs and sparcs, I'm interested in playing with it on upcoming LiveCDs).
