Hi all, As has been mentioned many times recently on BLFS-Dev, it appears the current implementation of UDEV/Hotplug is broken as it pertains to automatic loading of kernel modules.
I noticed that adding the following line to a UDEV rule will get the Hotplug events to work: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: ~/build > cat /etc/udev/rules.d/30-hotplug.rules RUN+="/etc/hotplug.d/default/default.hotplug" As I have the following identified as modules, I couldn't get HAL or any hotplug event for that matter to auto-load the modules: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: ~/build > lsmod Module Size Used by sd_mod 13712 0 usb_storage 30148 0 Are there any plans to include a UDEV rule to do this in the LFS book? If so, I will update the HAL instructions accordingly. Thanks for any information y'all may have about this. -- Randy rmlscsi: [GNU ld version 2.15.94.0.2 20041220] [gcc (GCC) 3.4.3] [GNU C Library stable release version 2.3.4] [Linux 2.6.10 i686] 10:45:00 up 7 days, 19:09, 3 users, load average: 0.01, 0.07, 0.17 -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/lfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
