As I was looking around in http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/alfs/downloads/profiles/lfs/svn/ for a nice profile, after jhalfs failed to do its work (complex nested bash scripts always seem to fail for one reason or another), I happily stumbled upon profile-LFS-GCC4.tar.bz2 To my surprise, I found out the hard way that this profile did not include instructions for building GCC 4.0.1, but rather for gcc 3.4.4.
