I assume by 'older' you mean very old. Both of these machines are fairly recent. One, at the least, post-2000 and the other probably circa 2003, both Dells. The first is a dual 900Mhz Pentium III and the other a 1.6Ghz Pentium 4. Interestingly enough, the laptop is a few years older by comparison (designed for Windows 98 it says... :P) and it has no trouble with the "lock" command.
Like Archaic, I'll test the LiveCD on a few other PC's here at work and report...
