Or, the current cross-lfs instructions need to be altered. As far as I'm aware, following the gcc4 branch, noone has encountered any of the issues yourself or Matt Darcy have encountered. Note, this isn't meant as a slight on your cross-lfs work, just from an entirely layman's POV this is a possibility. Sorry not to be able to contribute any more to this investigation at the moment.
