I really like this option. The question is: are we trying to be consistant or are we trying to educate through diversity? I wouldn't change them all (especially chapter 5 where we probably shouldn't assume bash 3) but it would be nice to throw one in there somewhere where there is already a command that has an explanatory blurb.
